“In the fast-paced world we live in, it is completely ignorant to think that women are the only gender who finds aging, acne or even pigmentation concerning. Over the past few years in my experience, I have seen a massive market for men inspired treatments.
I agree that men don’t necessarily look at a 20-skincare-product-regime in the morning and think of it as “self-love”, however with innovative technology, it has made catering for male needs much easier.
Simple, practical and effective is literally the imprint when it comes to male aesthetics.
A common request in the market is male patients who requires a social or work accepting appearance and how to maintain it. To look rested, relaxed without looking like an over injected Ken Barbie doll.
Facial Hair
As we know, shaving is an everyday routine for most men and more common than less. Male patients who suffer from inflamed ingrown hairs due to constant shaving, is a massive concern. Even just looking at male Anatomy – having a higher testosterone hormone lead to hair growth in undesired areas like backs or shoulders. So giving men the opportunity to decrease and eliminate the up-keeping of shaving has become convenient and not-so confidential anymore.

Skin Concerns
Numerous men also grew more conscious regarding acne scarring or pigment irregularities. Offering treatments like Fractional Laser, Microneedling or Radio Frequency based Micro-needling can reduce the scarring and give males the “Oh-So-Smooth” appearance but still look rugged.
Two of my favourite treatments are Morpheus8 & SkinPen.
Chemical peels are also an amazing treatments men grew to love. This can especially assist with cleansing, extraction and exfoliation to get rid of debris and dead skin cells. I would recommend this specifically to men who suffer from black-head formation or breakouts, chemical peels are quick and non-invasive treatments to have.

Frown to Smile
Most men run for the hills by the mention of Injectables – well initially that is. There is a reason why wrinkle injections have a new nickname amongst aesthetic practices–“Bro-Tox”. To look rested or less angry, men often have a few units injected in the “frown lines” to control the muscle activity. However male skins are a little different to females and might require more units, but the results are great. Not even speaking about Dermal Fillers, in my opinion- this has been the most rapid growing request in a lot of clinics to get a more sculpted face shape, to enhance a jaw line, or have a liquid face lift instead of going the surgical route. Skin Booster injectables also rejuvenates the skin without making males look unnatural.
Well done to all men out there for educating themselves about skincare and treatment options. Self-care doesn’t have to be complicated, or gender based.”
